I’ve made a tense decision this week. I’ve taken Death Has a Name off of the Free lists. It took three weeks for all of the settings to go through, but it’s back on the normal pay-for path. Some people may have a problem with this, but I think I have some very significant reasons for doing so. If you disagree with me, that’s great. Message me or leave a comment. I love these kinds of discussions.
It was tense because I’m not sure what will really happen. It could fly on its own and really do well. Or the sales of the entire series could drop into oblivion. My main goal in writing is to make sure that the people reading it enjoy it and see the world from a new point of view. Profit isn’t my main goal, but hey, making money at writing would sure help the motivation factor.
For me, I’ve been trying to keep an eye on the market, and I’ve come to realize that there are thousands of free books out there, all trying to be a break-out seller. Many of which are (sorry, but it’s true) pure crap. Instead of fighting for the attention span of people in that demographic, I’ve decided to push the envelope and let DHAN walk on it’s own merit. I have over 40 wonderful reviews. It has ranked consistently well on Amazon. I think it’s time to let my writing fly.
Its time for Brodie to stand on his own two feet.
After spending some significant time working on Azazel, I am excited to see how well the entire series will be received on its own. Not because it was a “bargain” or because it was forced on everyone. I have worked very hard to give my readers something I think everyone will enjoy, and I think that this work is worth the price of a half of a cup of coffee.
If you enjoy DHAN and the Brodie Wade series, give it some love and spread the word. Let people know about how much you enjoyed it. And if you are waiting for more Brodie, hang with me. He’ll be back very soon with another amazing adventure.
